About Us

I am from South Louisiana and spent some time in South Mississippi finishing my education. I worked as a family therapist for some years but was ready to focus on my own family. My first child was born as I was still working part time in 2013 and then came my second little one in 2016 and then I was officially a stay-at-home mom of two.

Those years are some of the most memorable in my life, for many reasons. Through my own parenting journey, I’ve learned many things, but definitely don’t know it all. I love sitting with other parents, whether they’re brand new, expecting, or veterans. Being a parent makes life so rich and so rewarding.

I have always felt a drive to contribute to my community. I wanted to use my skills and talents to offer support to moms and families in my community. After much thought, and with the support of my husband David, I started South Coast Baby Company in September 2017. In true character, I dove straight in and was able to open the store January 6, 2018!

I am very excited to have the opportunity to hopefully impact the lives of families in the community and be a part of this great place with so many wonderful people.

In 2020, we began focusing on our online store, and right on time to continue serving our customers through the pandemic. As of now, roughly half of our sales are online! We are happy to help customers near & far, bringing you the best quality items that we are sure you will love as much as we do.

Sure, we have an amazing array of products for babies, but let’s not forget about everyone else! We carry a variety of items for all ages. We focus on natural, reusable, and sustainably made items. We offer great gifts and gift wrapping for your convenience.

 

We are passionate about supporting parents at South Coast Baby Company and we know it takes a village!

 

We are located in the heart of historic downtown Thibodaux, directly across from Chic Chateau and in-between Local Fit Foods & Brush. We are three shops down on the left side when you turn onto Third Street. Weeping Willow is on the corner! 

We currently employ five spectacular individuals. Amy, Sydney, Mariah, & Jillian help to handle our day to day operations of our brick & mortar store as well as our warehouse in Schreiver, LA. Lastly, Allison is our remote employee in Colorado who handles all things related to our website & keeping us in line with inventory.
